〔古文〕𩂪【唐韻】蘇甸切【集韻】【韻會】【正韻】先見切，𠀤先去聲。【說文】稷雪也。从雨散聲。【詩·小雅】如彼雨雪，先集維霰。【箋】將大雨雪，始必微溫，雪自上下，遇溫氣而搏，謂之霰。【大戴禮】陽之專氣爲霰。【註】隂氣在雨水，凝滯爲雪。陽氣薄之，不相入，散而爲霰。故春秋榖梁說曰：霰者，陽脅隂之符也。【釋名】霰，星也。水雪相搏，如星而散也。【埤雅】閩俗謂之米雪，言其霰粒如米，所謂稷雪，義蓋如此。今名濇雪，亦名濕雪。　又【字彙補】佛之外道曰霰尼。見楞嚴經。　【說文】或作䨘。【玉篇】亦作𩆵。【集韻】或作霚。
